Gold Rush Expeditions, Inc. is proud to present the Historic Green Streak Gold Mining Claim. This is a 20 acre lode mining claim for sale exclusively through Gold Rush Expeditions, Inc. The claim is located just outside of Parker, Arizona and has been properly staked and marked at all corners. All Gold Rush Expeditions, Inc. claims have been meticulously surveyed, mapped and researched. Field work is completed by our own experienced, well versed Mine Survey Team.

The Green Streak, or Green Quartz Lode Mine is a large deposit located in central Arizona. The mine itself is large enough to warrant an entire subdistrict, known as the Green Streak sub-district of the Midway District.

The site consists of one major shaft which is estimated to only be 80-90' in depth, this shaft then branches out into a series of drifts below the surface. Reported workings in 1983 were 4100' on multiple levels. Mapping of the mines shows that the workings prior to 1942 were well over 9000' on multiple levels.[3] The mines were reportedly worked for gold with a copper byproduct. Noted for many pockets of high grade ores, the mines were quite successful prior to their forced closure in 1941 by the federal War Act. Prior to closure, there was a double battery crusher, a gravity mill and leaching ponds in operation at the mine.

The mine produced a reported 200 tons of ore in the early 1950s which was low grade for the gold, but high grade for copper. Unfortunately, the price for copper did not meet the cost of extraction and processing and the mine was abandoned by 1960. In or around 1981, the mine was re-worked while the price of gold was high. Less than 50 tons were processed which netted the miners 46 ounces of gold over an 11 month period of mining.

Overall the claim is easy to access just off Swansea road. The last mile or so will require high clearance 4WD for some washouts and sandy regions. There is plenty of room for staging all sorts of equipment.

Currently, the main shaft is blocked by the old headframe which has been cut and pushed into the shaft. This will need to be removed to access the mineral deposits on the claim. It is possible to drive a truck to the edge of the shaft which would allow for pulling the timbers out and a good anchor point to rope off to.

The claim is located in the desert of Arizona but is very close to Parker and Lake Havasu. Both locations have extensive amenities and support to offer your mining operation.

History of the Mines
From a 1993 report
Keith (1978) reported Green Streak production from 1953-54 as 200 st with 1.3% Cu, 0.2 oz/st Au, and 0.1 oz/st Ag.[1]
In 1989, based on an onsite visit, Spencer and Reynolds [2] reported that grab values on the Green Streak returned over 1.2 Ounces Per Ton in native gold values. This in addition to substantial silver values with very little copper. They also reported the production from 1981-1983 to be 46 ounces of gold.
