The only hole seen was a short soft conglomerate hole that may have been the shaft and has just started to collapse. However, the location of this hole is lower than the waste dump, which indicates it may just be a portion of the underground mine that has started to cave in. The waste dump is massive and has been worked slightly since past claimants and prospectors. Gold, pyrite, iron and quartz was found all through the waste piles. Historically a large producing gold mine.
