Inside The Triangle
3 Hot Plays Plus A BonusThis summer has been hot not only in temperatures and forest fires in BC but some of the juniors that are drilling in the triangle are super hot too. Stocks on some juniors are up like 400% or more and we're still waiting on assays on a lot of these plays. Lots of eyes are watching what's happening inside the Golden Triangle this summer. For any of those who are not aware of what's going on, all I can say is, Man oh man, you are missing out on all the action and the money.
There are quite a few different juniors drilling this summer in the area but in this article we will only focus on the 3 main juniors that are putting out the most news. The first one is GT Gold GTT which is exploring and drilling in what is now an area play around Iskut and Tatogga Lake areas on an area known as the Saddle targets. In a news release last month the company stated that they had drilled 6.95 m of 51.53 g/t gold along with 117.38 g/t silver including 86.00 grams per tonne 2.51 ounces per ton gold and 259.00 grams per tonne silver over 1.46 metres.
From the words of the CEO in the most recent press release:
"These first-ever Saddle South core results reveal a high-grade epithermal vein system bearing the key hallmarks -- high grades, widths and continuity -- required to advance the project"
Gt Gold has about 72 million shares.
The second junior that has seen a lot of activity in it's stock price is Garibaldi Resources GGI. Although Garibaldi hasn't produced any actual assays to date, the company did report in a news release that they had intersected 176 meters of mineralization at their E & L project at Nickle Mountain. With that news the company started drilling it's second hole and new details from the second hole should be released shortly.
Garibaldi announce that it has arranged a non-brokered private placement to raise total gross proceeds of $6-million. The fully subscribed financing is expected to close by no later than Sept. 15, 2017. Garibaldi 85 million shares.
Just today, September 8, 2017 the triangle saw a real screamer. Metallis Resources MTS saw it's stock pop a whopping 50% in the first few hours of trading alone. The kicker here is that there is no news published aside from the news that was issued late in August that stated the company had completed its first two hole at it's Kirkham property. That news also mentioned that the two holes had intersected mineralized and altered monzonite throughout and supports the theory that mineralization improves with depth as the alteration becomes more potassic.
My personal theory on the spike in the stock price is that whatever they got in the cores is looking pretty good. Metallis only has around 23 million shares out so as you see it doesn't take much to move the price up especially when there are a bunch of long positions that are going to hold on for even better days ahead.
We've taken a quick look at the three main exploration juniors, but as mentioned there is a bonus player in the game too. This bonus player in the triangle has also done very well and is poised for the same great gains if all goes well. At the time of this writing Aben Resources ABN is the junior and is still one of the cheapest way to maybe make some profit on this play. The company is drilling on their Forrest Kerr property and has encountered similar mineraliztion as GT Gold has. From their news release on September 5th they said:
Drilling at Carcass Creek intersected several discrete zones of massive quartz veins and quartz-sulphide vein breccias that have historically reported high-grade gold mineralization. At Boundary, massive to semi-massive sulphide horizons were encountered in association with strong quartz carbonate veining and breccias. Sulphides within these packages are relatively enriched in chalcopyrite, a copper mineral that has shown a strong correlation with gold mineralization both on the Forrest Kerr property and in several localities within the Golden Triangle. The drill core has been sent to the assay labs and final geochemical assays are pending.
These results so far are encouraging enough to warrant an extention of the drill program for this year from 2,100 metres to approximately 2,500 metres. With a stock price of 25 cents and about 53 million shares, all it takes is one good hit that impresses the market and Aben could very well be the next blue sky player in the triangle.
As far as new entrants to the triangle, there are two new players that I am aware of. One is Auramex Resources AUX and the second is Spearmint Resource SRJ. I noticed that Auramax has only 21 million shares.
It should be exciting times in the weeks ahead to see how these juniors do. The golden triangle is once again becoming a major play and there will be a lot of money to be made by investing in the juniors that got the goods.
