A Quick Look At Our Featured Juniors
Quite a bit has happened in the last few months with the junior mining sector in regards to share prices. Since the big market sell off earlier in March, share prices in most juniors with active projects have retraced back to earlier highs and a whole lot are now sitting on 52 week highs.
Earlier in the spring I wrote about Skeena Resources TSX:V-SKE. At the time their share price was around $1.05. That was before the market corrected in which the share price fell back to 60 cents. It has now retraced and is at new highs of $1.80. The company has issued news stating that they will be drilling upwards of 130,000 meters this summer with as many as 10 drill rigs turning. At the end of March when the market had fallen, I took a look at Strategic Metals TSX:V-SMD . At that time the stock was around 30 cents. Today the stock is at new 52 week highs around 60 cents. The company is going ahead with drilling their high grade gold silver project starting anytime at their 100% owned Mt. Hinton project in the Yukon. You can read that article HERE
April we looked at Falcon Gold FG which is active in Ontario Red Lake district and now in BC with a gold project in the Merrit area. The stock at the time was 6 cents. Today the share price is trading at 11-12 cents. You can read that article HERE
In last months article we featured Vizsla Resources VZLA which is now drilling a high grade silver play in Mexico. Just a few weeks back this stock was 40 cents but after the news came out with 1,544 grams per tonne silver equivalent (738.9 grams per tonne silver and 11.06 g/t gold) over 8.2 metres from 108.6 meters, the stock quickly ran up 100% to 87 cents giving some folks a 100% return in a few days. All of these juniors will be active for the next few months. All these companies will be pushing out a lot of news of results over the summer which will add to all around excitement and trading activity.
On an added note, I am long on the shares of these companies at this time. I have however sold my position in Falcon Gold to get more exposure to other plays.
